Original attendance memo
Effective November 1, employees must report an anticipated absence at least 60 minutes before their scheduled start by calling the shift office. Failure to comply may result in corrective action. Approved schedule swaps must be confirmed by the shift office before the affected shift. This procedure applies to all shifts.
What's unclear
- What if a schedule changes less than 60 minutes before the start?
- How do we know a swap has been confirmed?
What will be read as a threat or a dig
- “Failure to comply may result in corrective action.” — late schedule changes make the notice requirement harder to meet
What it will trigger
- Will schedules still be posted two weeks ahead? (Schedule changes with less than a week's notice)
Say this when you post it
You have raised late schedule changes, so this notice needs to be read alongside the posted schedule. The absence call and confirmed swap requirements still apply.
