How verification works

This is a sample. A real page opens from the Verified counts line on any report.

Verified counts · HBV-SAMPLE

Nothing changed

Nothing in this report changed after release: the stored report matches the attested hash.

Green means the stored report still matches what was signed at release. Red means the report changed or the signature fails; the page says not to rely on it.

Check the numbers yourself

When the report was made, Heardby fingerprinted every stored conversation, combined those fingerprints into one root, recorded which conversations each theme rests on, fingerprinted the report and signed all of it. A real verification page redoes that check every time it loads. This sample uses fixed example values, not a real attestation.

What this proves: how many distinct conversations there were, that every theme shown cleared five people, and that the report hasn't been edited since.

What it can't prove: what anyone said, or that a theme's wording is a fair summary. The conversations are never published, so content can't be checked here.
